Secret Garden – Eco Lodge

Marimba Secret Gardens is an Eco Lodge located 21km North of Vilanculos in a remote bay on a pristine beach, directly opposite 2 Mile Reef in the Bazaruto Archipelago which is well-known for its world class snorkeling and diving.

The property is 6 hectares in size. There are 6 units with a total of 18 beds. All units are on stilts and built from local material. Each unit has a veranda under the bedroom where one can spend time relaxing. All toilets and showers are located in a separate bathhouse in close proximity to all units. A gas geyser is installed to provide hot water to the showers. There is a kitchen and restaurant on site which operates with 2 gas fridge/freezers (option to run on 220v) and gas stoves.  A big fireplace is situated in the middle of all units providing a beautiful atmosphere in the evenings, relaxing under the stars.

A bore hole provides the lodge with fresh water. There is a 5kw diesel generator which pumps the water up to a 5000L water tank. A small, but sufficient, solar system is installed to power all lighting, restaurant music and allows for guests to charge their small electronic devices.

There is a management house with an office on the property, a staff house, store rooms, parking bay with a shade roof and an irrigated vegetable garden.
